What are the stages of baby teeth development?

Babies generally start teething at around 6 months of age. Some teeth can emerge earlier or later in a child’s development. In most cases, the 20 baby teeth will come in by the time the child is 3 years old.

The following table shows the usual order of milk teeth appearance:

The second set of 32 teeth subsequently comes in between the ages of 6 and 16. Wisdom teeth usually grow in at 16 or later.

Not all babies experience teething in the same way. For some, the process is relatively uneventful, whereas for others, teething is a more difficult time.
