INFORMATION COLLECTED IN THE “MY SMILE” SECTION
The “MY SMILE” section asks you to provide personal information (first name, last name, email address, street address, etc.). This information is collected to personalize your visits to our centres as well as to ensure you receive our newsletter, appointment reminders and other relevant information if you so desire. Note that you can easily unsubscribe or change your preferences with regard to how you use this section in the “My Profile” section.
The “MY SMILE” section lets you:
– Make appointments for yourself or other family members
– Manage your appointment reminder preferences
– Subscribe to the Lapointe newsletter
– Register for the corporate program
CONFIDENTIALITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
LDC warrants that no personal information collected in the MY SMILE section shall be disclosed to any third party unless required by law. Since safeguarding privacy and confidentiality are priorities for LDC, the company agrees not to sell the list of MY SMILE section users. Only authorized persons trained to comply with LDC’s privacy and confidentiality policy have access to the personal information in this section.
Use of your personal information
LDC may use your personal information to communicate and correspond with you, respond to your inquiries or for any other reason permitted by law. In general, LDC will consider the fact that you have voluntarily visited the Site and have provided preliminary information to LDC as signifying your consent to its use of this information as a means of monitoring communications with you and for transmitting information such as electronic communications about the company that may interest you or that you may find useful.
